About FishSXM
Professional fish guiding, rigging and bait — built on local knowledge and a love for Caribbean waters.

Your Captain
Justen Barrett
Captain Justen Barrett grew up on the water around St. Maarten and has spent 25+ years learning the reefs, drop-offs and migration patterns that make these islands a world-class fishing destination.
What started as a childhood passion turned into a career dedicated to sharing that knowledge with visitors and locals alike. Today, FishSXM offers three core services: guided fishing trips built on years of local know-how, hand-crafted fishing rigs and tackle rigging, and fresh caught bait for anglers who want the best shot at success.
All FishSXM services are offered from November 1 through May 1. When the Caribbean season winds down, Captain Justen spends his summers in Newport, RI providing guiding services and running the Aquidneck Island Fishing Academy — a program he founded to teach summer camps and weekend clinics for the island youth.
Whether you're targeting pelagic species offshore, bottom fishing the reefs, or just looking for an unforgettable day on the water, Captain Justen brings the expertise, gear and enthusiasm to make it happen.
